M.Plan (Masters in Urban and Regional Planning)

Eligibility

For MURP

A candidate who has passed qualifying examination or equivalent examination as prescribed by the Competent Authority and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects of all the years/semesters of the Degree Examination is eligible for admission to M.Plan. programme. 45% of marks in Q. E. in case of SC, ST and Category-I candidate. Reservation and concession in aggregate percentage is applicable only for Karnataka Candidates.

Course wise Eligibility: B.Plan or B.Arch or B.E/B.Tech. in Civil Engineering/Building Technology/Construction Technology/Environmental Engineering or M. A/M.Sc (Geography).

NOTE-FOR ALL POST GRADUATE PROGRAMS:

• Rounding off aggregate percent is not permitted
• Entry level qualifications acquired through Distance Education mode are not considered for admission to VTU M.Plan. program.
• Academic eligibility is to be determined by considering all the subjects reflected in the mark’s cards of qualifying examination
• The Conversion of CGPA into percentage is as below:
  The eligibility condition of 50% of maximum CGPA or 50% of the marks secured at graduate level for seeking admission to VTU PG programmes from the academic year 2021-22 and onwards. The class/marks for admission approval shall be considered as per the policy of degree awarding University (VTU Executive Council Res.2.3.1 dt: 29-06-2022)
• Admission of In-Service Candidates should be sent along with ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the employer.
• After verification of all the previous original marks cards and certificates, if they are found to be in order, then the competent authority of the university may confirm your admission.
• However, even after confirmation of the admission, if later, any of the documents submitted are found to be false, fake, fabricated or fudged, the University will cancel the admission and forfeit the fee collected.
